The Cutting Patterns Sheet consists of the Pattern Inspector at the left, the Pattern View at the right and a tool bar at the bottom to describe the active pattern, zoom in the view and show/hide the labels.

Tip: Right click anywhere within the pattern view to display a context menu that contains commonly used options.

At the bottom side of the Patterns Inspector you can alternate among the Miniatures and Semiproducts tabs. The Miniatures tab shows a list containing small images for all the patterns. Here you can select the active pattern. The Semiproducts tab allows you to select and modify each of the semiproducts of  the active pattern. It consist of  (from top to bottom):

· The Semiproducts Tree.

· The Semiproducts Inspector.

The Semiproducts Tree defines a semiproducts hierarchy. Each node in this tree corresponds with a semiproduct in the pattern: non-leaves nodes with step-semiproducts and leaves nodes with final-semiproducts. In particular, the root node corresponds with the original material. Since each cut divides a semiproduct in two pieces, the Semiproducts Tree is binary, that is, non-leaves nodes always have two children nodes. The text describing each node of the Semiproducts Tree indicates the dimensions and coordinates origin of the corresponding semiproduct.

The Semiproducts Inspector shows the properties of the semiproduct previously selected. These properties are:

Cut Dir: Indicates either the direction of the cut (vertical or horizontal) or a non-existing cut (none).

Cut Dim: The dimension of the cut, that is, the distance from the left side of the semiproduct (vertical cuts) or the bottom side (horizontal cuts).

(the properties below only apply to final semiproducts)

Part: Index of the part distributed within the semiproduct.

Rotated: Indicates if the part is rotated or not.

Layout:  Specifies the multiple distribution of the part within the semiproduct by using the notation <quantity_at_x>x<quantity_at_y>. Note that the multiple repetition value can be easy obtained by multiplying both of the above quantities. Important: In bars (one-dimensional) cutting this property will take a single value.

Offcut_x: Length of the offcut left beyond the last part in the horizontal direction.

Offcut_y: Length of the offcut left beyond the last part in the vertical direction.

To select a semiproduct:

· Click anywhere inside the pattern. The final semiproduct that contains the click point will be selected, or

· Select a node in the Semiproducts Tree, or

· Drag a rectangle over the pattern and press the SHIFT key before releasing the mouse button. The first semiproduct  fully contained in such a rectangle will be selected.

Tip: To quickly visualize, in the correct order, the complete cuts sequence of the pattern: select any semiproduct and use the arrow keys <up>|<left> and <down>|<right> to move the selection backward and forward, respectively.

To deselect:

· Click anywhere outside the pattern, or

· Select Deselect semiproduct from the Edit or context menu.

· Change the active pattern and go back.

In the Cutting Patterns Sheet you can also do the following actions:

Change the active pattern

· Select in the Miniatures tab, or

· Select in the navigator at the main tool bar, or

· Press the arrow keys from the pattern view provided none semiproduct is selected.

Zoom in the view

· Drag a rectangle in the graphic, or

· Select or type a percentage value in the Zoom combo.

Fit the pattern in the view

· Select  100%  in the Zoom combo or Zoom all in the context menu.

Note: Zoom all will be automatically applied whenever you change the active pattern.

Hide/Show the labels

· Click in the labels buttons to change their visualization states. You can alternate the labels visualization state in either step-semiproducts (Cuts) or final-semiproducts (Parts and Offcuts).
