You can modify the cuts and parts of a pattern by editing its semiproducts.
To edit a semiproduct:
1. From the Cutting Patterns Sheet, select the semiproduct to modify. 2. Edit its properties in the Semiproduct Inspector.
When modifying semiproduct properties keep in mind the following:
· Always end the introduction of a new value by pressing ENTER or changing the focus property, even if the modification is realized by picking from a drop-down list. · Be careful with the syntax when entering values with the keyboard:
· To change the cut direction, type “vertical” or “horizontal” in the Cut Dir property. · To change the part distributed, type only the part’s index in the Part property. · Do not forget the “x” between both repetition values in the Layout property if parts are rectangles.
· A change in either Cut Dir or Cut Dim properties will automatically clean the semiproduct (all of its children will be deleted). · To clean a semiproduct (make it an offcut), select Clean from the Edit menu or nullify both Cut Dir and Part properties. · To quickly add a vertical (horizontal) cut, select Cut vertically (Cut horizontally ) · The Part, Rotated and Layout properties are disabled in step-semiproducts. · Both Offcut_x and Offcut_y properties are read-only. · Some properties will implicitly take adjusting values depending on the current state of the semiproduct. For example: · Whenever you cut an offcut vertically (horizontally), the Cut Dim property will be initialized with a value equal to half of the length (width) of the semiproduct. This value should be adjusted later. · Whenever you change the part to distribute in a final-semiproduct, it will be initially repeated to fit the entire semiproduct, that is, as many times as it can be contained. You can adjust later with the Layout property. · A final-semiproduct that already distributes a part can be cut vertically (horizontally) if an offcut in the horizontal (vertical) direction exists, in which case the Cut Dim property will take a value equal to the sum of the part lengths (widths) in that direction . This way, the semiproduct to the left of (below) the cut will exactly contain all of the parts in the horizontal (vertical) direction and the other semiproduct will be an offcut. |
